Privacy Policy

The Art of GTM (https://artofgtm.com) is a paid go-to-market publication operated by Studio Self / JA Westenberg. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

Account data: when you create an account or sign in with Google or X (Twitter) OAuth, we receive your email address and basic profile information the provider shares (such as name and profile image). If email/password sign-in is enabled, we also store the email and a hashed password you provide.

Membership and payments: if you purchase a membership, Stripe processes payment details. We receive billing metadata such as subscription status, customer identifiers, and invoices — not your full card number.

Communications: we use Resend (or another configured email provider) to send transactional email (for example verification, password reset, and membership notices) and, where you have subscribed, newsletter or publication email.

Usage and technical data: we collect standard server logs and session information needed to operate the site (for example IP address, browser type, and pages requested) and may use analytics or error monitoring tools configured for the product.

We use personal data to create and secure your account, authenticate you (including via Google or X), provide membership access to subscriber content, process payments and manage subscriptions, send transactional and publication email you have requested, improve the product, and comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use Google or X OAuth data for advertising networks unrelated to operating The Art of GTM.

We rely on processors that help us run the publication, including: Google and X for social sign-in; Stripe for payments and billing; Resend (or another email provider) for email delivery; Supabase/Postgres (or our hosted database) for application data; and our hosting provider (for example Vercel) for serving the site.

Those providers process data under their own terms and privacy policies, only as needed for the services we configure.

We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication and session management (including secure session cookies from our auth provider). These are required for signed-in features to work.

You can block cookies in your browser, but doing so may prevent you from staying signed in or accessing membership features.

We retain account and membership records for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements.

Payment records are retained in line with Stripe’s and our own bookkeeping obligations. You may request account deletion by contacting us; we will delete or anonymize personal data where we are not required to keep it.

You can update account details where the product allows, manage billing through Stripe’s customer portal when available, unsubscribe from non-essential marketing email via links in those emails, and revoke Google or X access from your provider account settings.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal data, or to object to certain processing. Contact joan@thisisstudioself.com to make a request.

The Art of GTM is directed at professionals and is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date above will change when we do. Continued use of the site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy where permitted by law.
